My niece Z is the first grandchild of the family, so every photo of her has its fair share of ooohs and aaaahs, but this one is my favourite one so far.
The colours in this shot were just perfect for the fifth Jot Magazine mood board challenge. Using pinks and yellows is out of my comfort zone, so when I came across this shot it inspired me to give this colour scheme a go.
I took inspiration from the age and colouring abilities of my subject for my DIY background paper (horizontal scribbles with Stampin’ Write Markers), adding in a bit of aqua to break up the intense pinks and yellows. The ‘messiness’ of a toddler is also reflected in the strips of washi tape behind the photo and the title.
She’s sooooo photogenic, so there’s about a thousand more layouts just begging to be done. Thanks Jot Magazine, keep up the fantastic mood boards!
